Ohio Bus Driver Resigns After Ranting At Students For Spraying Perfume In Viral TikTok

An Ohio bus driver has resigned from her job this week after going viral on TikTok for her not-so-nice rant at a bunch of teen students. In just two days, the video attracted over 3 million views, and it’s not hard to see why. The woman, who has yet to be publicly identified by the Amherst Exempted Village School District, is heard going off on the teenagers, one of whom she accuses of spraying a perfume that gives her an allergic reaction. While the student repeatedly tells her that they didn’t spray anything, the bus driver didn’t want to hear it as she unleashed her tirade on the bus.

“Goddamn it, how much more do you expect me to f – – king take?” she questions the girl and then proceeds to tell another student, “I’m sick of you. I’m sick of all of this s**t. I’m done with it. I’m going to start kicking some f – – kin’ serious ass. Do you hear me?” But it didn’t end there. The bus driver then makes a series of threats towards the students, telling one of them that she was going to stick her foot “so far up your goddamn a**,” it would dangle out of their nose.

Mike Molnar, who is the Amherst Superintendent, sent a letter out to parents on Friday, confirming that the driver had resigned from her job and that her decision to step down would be effective immediately. Additionally, the district plans to give all of their bus drivers the “proper training” they need to handle themselves in a professional manner so that an incident like the one which occurred on Thursday does not happen again.

His letter in full read:

Dear Amherst Parents,

This evening, I received a video circulating on social media of a bus driver using inappropriate and offensive language toward students. The behavior exhibited by the bus driver is unacceptable and will not be tolerated. I have accepted the bus driver’s resignation effective immediately and the incident will be fully investigated. The actions of the bus driver do not represent the values and standards we uphold as a district and do not reflect our commitment to providing a safe, caring, and compassionate educational environment.

Moving forward, our Transportation Department will review its procedures to make sure we are handling situations appropriately for the safety of our students. The district will also continue to support our bus drivers with proper training and professional development.

As Superintendent, I will continue to focus my energy and efforts on creating a positive and safe environment for all students and staff. I believe that open communication and constructive feedback from our community help us create a stronger and more supportive environment. Thank you.

Meanwhile, shirts displaying one of the quotes from the incident that the bus driver said to the students have since surfaced for purchase on Facebook, as well as a GoFundMe page.

Jeff Grob established the fundraiser, which has already generated $4,690 from 196 contributors by the afternoon of March 31st for a retirement fund for the driver.
