NYPD Officer Pleads Guilty Over Plot To Hire A Hitman To Kill Her Husband
Valerie Cincinelli, a 36-year-old mother of two and former NYPD officer, has pleaded guilty over a plot to hire a hitman to kill her estranged husband (pictured above) and her boyfriend’s 15-year-old daughter.
Per The New York Times, Cincinelli, who first joined the force in 2007, is facing federal murder-for-hire charges and two counts of obstruction of justice for the attempted hit job. Initially, she entered a not guilty plea, but is now ready to cop a plea. Although the details weren’t fully disclosed, they do include her pleading guilty to the murder-for-hire plot.
Ahead of her formal plea trial on February 12, Cincinelli has been accused of paying her boyfriend, identified as John DiRubba, $7,000 to hire a hitman in 2019 to assassinate her estranged husband, Isaiah Carvalho Jr., and DiRubba’s own 15-year-old daughter, who reportedly was “getting in the way” of their twisted plan. The busts came down after DiRubba was caught in another crime, leading him to confess to the insane murder-for-hire plot and becoming a confidential informant for the FBI — which included him wearing a wire during conversations with Cincinelli.
