One of NYC’s most iconic performers has been arrested for panhandling during Bike Week in Daytona Beach, Florida.

Robert Burck aka “The Naked Cowboy” was arrested Saturday during the city’s annual event. Authorities reported that Burck was wearing his usual get-up which included his cowboy hat, underwear, cowboy boots while playing the guitar. However, they made the arrest when they noticed attendees taking pictures with Burck and placing money into his guitar.
He was arrested and charged with resisting a police officer and panhandling. Officers also reported that Burck refused to follow orders and broke his guitar in the process. A video clip shows the performer telling officers that he “doesn’t need money” due to his success.

This is the 21st time the performing artist attended Daytona Beach’s Bike Week. Despite the arrest, he was released on Sunday and even posted news of his arrest on his official Facebook page.
