Six homeless pedophiles have been placed in an Upper West Side hotel across the street from a playground. The placement is a violation against New York state laws.

The six sex offenders are on parole and currently staying at the Belleclaire hotel on Broadway and West 77th street as of Friday night. The hotel is a block away from a playground connected to PS 87 and state law requires sex offenders on probation or parole to keep at least 1,000 feet where minors are present.
A rep from registry listings told the New York Post that the men are not residents at the hotel despite outcries from the local community. The city has been secretly placing the homeless into hotels due to local shelters being unable to properly follow social distancing guidelines. The Level 2 violent sex offenders are identified as Devron Vernal,26, Jonathan Evans,29, Anderson Stuckey,51, Orlando Velasco,35, Ronald Butler,62, and Rafael Medina,37.

Residents have also filed complaints about the homeless urinating in public spaces to openly using drugs in the Upper West Side neighborhood.
“Look, we’re a progressive-minded community, and we tend to be sympathetic to the homeless, But with sex offenders, draw the line,” one of the residents said to the Post.
