Nurse Called Child Services On New Parents Who Gave Newborn Super Unique Name
While many parents take the traditional route and name their newborn babies family or biblical names, others like to be different and give their babies a super unique name. Well a pair of parents chose the latter, and ended up having their nurse call child services on them.
In a recent AskReddit thread, a user asked nurses and midwives if they’d ever tried to talk new parents out of a baby name, and if so, what was the name. While some users wrote names like, “Sunshine,” “Colon (Collin),” “Linoleum,” and more, one user wrote that their employer’s friend named their newborn “Monster Gailileo.”

The user wrote, “Boss’s friend named their kid Monster Galileo <last name>. Nurse tried to talk them out of it. Called in child services to talk them out of it. They insisted. Kid goes by Galileo. Honestly, I kind of like the sound of it for an adult or a performer’s name but ugh, being a kid named ‘monster’ has to be rough in school.” #Socialites, thoughts?
