Notorious Serial Killer, Samuel Little, Who Confessed to 93 Murders, Dies at 80

The man described by the FBI described as “the most prolific serial killer in U.S. history”, has passed away at 80.

Little confessed to at least 93 murders and “was pronounced deceased on Dec. 30 at 4:53 a.m., at an outside hospital.” His cause of death is currently unknown.

At the time, Little was serving three consecutive life sentences for the murders deaths of three Los Angeles women in the 1980s.

“The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation today is announcing the death of inmate Samuel Little, 80, who was pronounced deceased on Dec. 30 at 4:53 a.m., at an outside hospital. An official cause of death will be determined by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Little, 80, had been serving three consecutive life-without-parole sentences from Los Angeles County for the deaths of three women that occurred in the late 1980s. He was linked to the murders through DNA that was matched to evidence found in the crime scenes. He was convicted of first-degree murder by a Los Angeles County jury on Sept. 25, 2014.”

Little was previously asked why he suddenly decided to confess to all of the murders.

“Probably be numerous people who are– been convicted and sent to penitentiary on my behalf,” Little said to “60 Minutes.””I say, if I can help get somebody out of jail, you know, God might smile a little bit more on me.”
