North Dakota Man Threatened To Kill Former Boss For Ignoring Facebook Friend Request

Caleb Burczyk, a 29-year-old North Dakota man, was charged on Tuesday (Dec. 29) with two class C felony counts of burglary and terrorizing after he reportedly threatened to kill his former boss for ignoring his Facebook friend request. A judge has set his bond at $25,000.

Police say Burczyk kicked in the door of his former employer’s home and went inside after he reportedly sent an aggressive message on Thursday (Dec. 24) giving the boss an ultimatum: “Accept my friend request or I’m going to murder you.” Two days later, on December 26, Burczyk further threatened to fire up his pickup and come find his boss, including a photo of his truck, if he continued to ignore his FB request.

Burczyk also used his Snapchat to send threats. There, he posted a photo of himself wearing a black cap, black vest and red and black plaid long-sleeve shirt, with a message about his boss’ family needing to replace their door. Security footage from that night confirms the suspect who kicked in the door of the home wore the same outfit.
