Robert Louis Singletary,24, is accused of shooting multiple people, including his neighbors and their six-year-old daughter. According to QC News, one of the family members shot was rushed to the CaroMont Regional Medical Center and is in critical condition. A bullet grazed a woman, but she was not injured, and a fourth person was shot at but didn’t sustain any injuries.

Kinsley White, 6, was released from the hospital overnight, and family members stated the shooting resulted from an angry neighbor who was outraged because a basketball had rolled into his yard. The child expressed concern for her father’s safety and stated that Singletary came out of his house with a gun and began shooting.

He faces multiple charges, which include four counts of attempted first-degree murder, two counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill or inflicting serious injury, and a count of possession of a firearm by a felon.

He was previously charged with assaulting his 21-year-old girlfriend with a mini sledgehammer. Additionally, he kept the victim hostage and didn’t allow her to leave his apartment for two hours. Singletary faced charges of assault with intent to inflict serious injury, kidnapping, and communicating threats. He was held in the Gaston County jail on a $250,000 bond.

The shooting sparked outrage as three shootings were about people making simple errors.
