Ahead of her 26 birthday, Normani is in Cabo living it up with a few friends including fellow collaborator Cardi B!
Videos that have been posted online by fans who screen recorded her IG Live show the singer drinking and twerking, turning up before her birthday on May 31. One of the now-viral videos also shows the “Wild Side” artist throwing it all the way back, and fans can’t get enough of the clip! One shocked fan tweeted, “So that’s normani in the back like that? does she have a license to carry this WAGON?” Another fan said, “Damn! I ain’t know she could throw it back like that.” A third added, “that thang was thanging!”
Aside from the dancing, fans got even more excited after Normani seemingly confirmed the name of her next single, “Candy Paint.” Although most of her fans seem pretty excited about it, a lot of Twitter users asked where’s the album. “Single, single, single. My dear where is the ALBUM. Even an EP or something!!,” a fan said. Another Twitter user tweeted, “This single better be the one to finally launch the album. I’m so serious.”
Now, Normani previously spoke about her upcoming song in an interview with Lala Anthony at the Met Gala. She said, “You can expect that uptempo that you are all waiting for. [With a lot of dance] You already know. I know what the people want. The last record [‘Fair’], was for me, I know.”

Normani scored her first appearance on Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart for her track “Wild Side,” featuring Cardi B. It debuted at No. 4 on the chart dated July 31 after being released on July 16. Since the success of that track, fans have been wanting more and it looks like they will soon get it!
The hitmaker previously announced that she entered into a lucrative publishing pact with Hipgnosis Song Group – which will serve as the publishing home for all of her new music. The new song will lost likely go through the group. Speaking on the pact, Normani said in a statement:
“I’m proud to have partnered with the team at Hipgnosis and take my catalogue to new and exciting places. I’m excited to embark on this new chapter with them.” Brandon Silverstein, her manager and the CEO of S10 Entertainment, added: “We’re thrilled to partner with forward-thinking partners like Hipgnosis and look forward to working with Merck/Casey and their team to fully support Normani’s vision and invest in the long-term success of her art.”
