Lawd! The baby mama and baby daddy drama between rapper NLE Choppa and his son’s mother Marissa Da’Nae Rogers continues as she again calls him a deadbeat dad ahead of their child’s 3rd birthday.
Recapping NLE Choppa And Son’s Mother Marissa Da’Nae’s Rocky Relationship
In April 2023, Marissa first announced her pregnancy with Choppa, Bryson LaShun Potts. While doing so, she also slammed Choppa for not being present and “constantly trying to holla at [other] folks.”
At the time, Choppa appeared on ‘The Jason Lee Show.’ On the show, he was caught shooting his sh*t at a then-single Meagan Good. Days after Marissa’s criticism, Choppa clapped back and said, “Can’t be a deadbeat to a baby that’s not here yet.”
On August 16, 2023, Marissa gave birth to ChoZen Wone Da’Shun Potts. For the past three years, Chozen’s parents have been beefing online and in court. In September 2025, Marissa went online and claimed Choppa was taking her to court over their then-1-year-old son. She also alleged Choppa was forcing him to fast.
By February 2026, NLE Choppa and his mother, Angela Potts (aka Momma Choppa) went on Instagram Live to slam his two baby mamas, Marissa Da’Nae and Mariah Jones, both who were calling him a “deadbeat dad” and “gay.” He then dropped a diss track on them both.

Fast forward to August 16, 2026, Chozen’s 3rd birthday. Choppa shared several photos to his Instagram feed with a lengthy caption, wishing his son a happy birthday. Marissa posted on her Instagram Story, “It all be for the internet. Nothing else.”
She then claimed Choppa hasn’t seen their son since August 16, 2025, last year’s birthday. The two continued to go back and forth. Ultimately, Choppa dropped receipts, including alleged text messages, and continued to try and clear his name.
