North Paulding High School principal Gabe Carmona has issued a letter out to parents on Saturday alerting them that six students and three staff members have tested positive for the virus since the first day of school in Paulding County last week. The news comes after the high school suspended 15-year-old Hannah Waters for uploading the shocking image online during the first week of school due to the administration’s policy on cell phone use. She said there was no social distancing and about 10 percent of the student body were wearing masks.

Earlier this week, superintendent Brian Ottot claimed that wearing a mask is a “personal choice” and there was no way to enforce a mandate for all schools.
