Nike wants to take part in the spooky season as they release Halloween inspired running apparel, two pair of Halloween sneakers, and three pair of sneakers to celebrate “day of the dead.”

When you think of Halloween, you think of skeletons which is exactly what Nike used for this release. with this collection, Nike has included its popular Dri-FIT technology to support the body’s temperature given that these pieces are more geared towards athletics.

This new collection comes in two different designs. One set comes in a sleek black color featuring a top and both men and women’s bottoms. This look features the sternum, arm and leg bones in a 3d type design. The second looks is a camo set which again comes with a shirt and both men and women’s bottoms but in wooded camouflage with the sternum, arm and leg bones hidden within the design. There is also a face mask that features the jaw bone skeleton.

Now if you’re trying to get a whole look for the Haloween season, Nike has helped you out with an Air Force 1 low top black sneaker. The “Nike Air Force 1 ’07 Skeleton QS” comes in an all-black colorway so the glow-in-the-dark midsole. On the side of the shoe, you can see a foot bone that literally looks like an x-ray!

However, if Haloween s not your speed, Nike has still got you covered as they paid homage to Mexico’s annual Dia De Los Muertos (Day of the Dead). The popular brand has released three sneakers that represent this cultural holiday. The Cortez, The Air Force 1 Low, and the Air Max 95 which are all called “La Calaca.”

While these shoes may look regular in the day time, they each feature a reflective design that has meaning to Dia De Los Muertos.

The Air Force 1 features a reflective sugar skulls pattern which is known as La Calaca. This is part of the alter that is created to celebrate the journey of life after death. The colors represent the traditional offering while the white represents the sugar.

For the Airmax 95, this design represents La Catrina or a female skeleton figure. The laces represent the ribs, the sole represents the spine and the upper, in mesh and suede, correspond to the muscle fibers.
