Nicole Scherzinger Is Working On A Solo Comeback After Canceling The Pussycat Dolls Tour Over Alleged Money Dispute

Nicole Scherzinger is reportedly working on a solo comeback after deciding to back out of the Pussycat Dolls tour when her request for “a majority stake” was denied.

The girl group, who stormed the charts with hits such as Don’t Cha, When I Grow Up, and I Hate This Part in the ’00s, were initially planning to hit the road back in 2020, but due to the pandemic, those plans were postponed until further notice.

However, once things were beginning to look up for the girls to finalize their new tour dates, PCD founder Robin Antin sued Nicole for allegedly wanting to renegotiate her contract so that she would be given “a majority share and complete creative control in relaunching the group.”

Nicole later followed up with a statement saying she was saddened to inform her fans that the Pussycat Dolls reunion would not be moving ahead, a move which blindsided her fellow band members, who said they weren’t even given a heads up before the announcement was made.

The Sun now reports that the Don’t Hold Your Breath singer is staging a comeback of her own after having taken a lengthy break from music to focus on other career ventures in recent years, which include her stint on Broadway, several musicals, and a judging role on shows such as The X Factor and The Masked Singer.

Nicole has been in the studio working with a handful of credible songwriters to relaunch her solo career, having released her last album, Big Fat Lie, back in 2014, which spanned the singles Your Love, Run, On the Rocks, and Bang.

While there’s no official date set in place on when fans can expect to hear the first single from her next album, during a recent gig in Los Angeles, Nicole gave the crowd a sneak peek as to what they could expect from her forthcoming project.

“I’ve been underestimated, undermined, under- rated,” she sang. “If you only knew what it takes every day just to defeat it. See you don’t know where I came from, you don’t know what I’m made of, you don’t know.

“If you ain’t living my story, then you ain’t living my glory . . . I ain’t never going back. I’ve come too far for this, I fought too hard to miss.”

The Pussycat Dolls became one of the best-selling girl groups of all-time, with their worldwide album sales having surpassed 50 million units.

But if fans are remaining hopeful that the girls could still reunite somewhere down the line, it seems as though Nicole has closed that chapter for good.
