Nicki Minaj Welcomes First Child With Husband Kenneth Petty
Congratulations are in order to Nicki Minaj who just welcomed her first child with husband Kenneth Petty!
Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ that the superstar gave birth on Wednesday in L.A. The new parents have yet to share the sex of the baby or the name of their new bundle of joy.

As we previously reported, Nicki made the big announcement of her pregnancy back in July. The 37-year-old shared a series of snaps taken by famed photographer David LaChappelle, showing her baby bump along with the caption that read, “#Preggers.” She captioned her other pic, “Love. Marriage. Baby carriage. Overflowing with excitement & gratitude. Thank you all for the well wishes. 💛”
The pregnancy came nine months after the couple officially tied the knot. 10 months before that, Minaj announced her intention to retire to instead focus on her family. “I’ve decided to retire & have my family. I know you guys are happy now. To my fans, keep reppin me, do it til da death of me … Love you for LIFE,” she wrote on Twitter.
This is Minaj’s first child. Petty also has kids from previous relationships. Following the big news, fans immediately took to social media to congratulate them both on their new baby.
