Nicki Minaj Changed Her Mind On Pulling Coi Leray Song Leaked By Benzino Because She ‘Just Felt Bad’
Last month, we learned that a Coi Leray and Nicki Minaj song was in the works after Coi’s father, Hip Hop icon Benzino, leaked the news himself! As soon as the internet broke, Nicki hopped online to deny the claim, stating, “I don’t have a collab coming with anyone. Onika mode. Love you.”
Coi then went live and slammed her dad for spilling the beans, telling him, “It’s my turn now … I’mma need you to sit the f down and clap for me.” Responding back, Benzino took accountability and said, “I have to [do] better and I will.” He followed it with an apology. It read, “I just wanna apologize to Coi, Nicki and everyone involved. I meant no harm nor did I mean to offend or disrespect anyone. I know better. It’s a business of trust and I broke that. I feel horrible and sad. I am 100 percent in the wrong and it will never happen again. Smh.”

After a clear change of heart, the song has now been officially promoted by Nicki and is set to release this Friday (Mar. 18). Addressing her initial comments, Nicki told a Twitter user, “I did pull it. 🎀 but the label hit me going hard. But rlly I had a private convo w|coi & that’s what changed my mind. Not the label. I just felt bad that she was robbed of telling the world in her own way @ her own time. But that’s water under the bridge now. Good vibes all 2022.” #Socialites, are ready for the new track?
