Nick Cannon Reveals Vasectomy Consultation As He Prepares To Welcome His Eighth Child ‘I Ain’t Looking to Populate the Earth Completely’

Socialites, get a load of this! Super father Nick Cannon will possibly be ending his baby-making tour as he’s thinking about getting a vasectomy!

The 41-year-old entertainer, who is currently expecting his eighth kid, talked about his plans in an interview with E! News’ “Daily Pop” on Tuesday, May 17. The actor and entrepreneur said that although he feels truly “blessed with the gifts of children,” he shared that he would eventually take a break from making more babies.

He explained, “I don’t know if I would’ve designed it this way, but it’s one of those things when you’re blessed with the gifts of children-and as we all know, I’ve been through so much, I find solace, I find peace in my children and I find purpose,” Nick told hosts, Justin Sylvester, and Loni Love. He went on to say, “So, I’m not out here looking.” He added, “I already went and got my vasectomy consultation. I ain’t looking to populate the Earth completely, but I’m definitely looking forward to taking care and loving all the children that I currently have.”

Although Nick Cannon has been praised for being a great dad, he had previously expressed during a podcast that he had “heavy, heavy guilt” for not spending enough time with all of his children, especially his son Zen, who tragically died of a brain tumor in December at 5 months old. “The one thing that keeps me up at night. There’s this heavy, heavy guilt with the fact of, I didn’t get to spend time like I really wanted to with Zen,” he said.

Back in February, during an appearance on The Language of Love podcast with Dr. Laura Berman, Cannon also said he’s not looking to have any more children following the news that he’s expecting his eighth baby this year. “I don’t have the bandwidth for it anymore,” he explained. “Because I feel like I do owe the women that are currently in my life, I owe them as much energy, time, and effort as I possibly [can] – especially my kids.”
