The mother to one of Nick Cannon‘s many children is speaking out after the “Wild N Out” host forgot their daughter’s name during a recent interview. As we previously reported, Cannon was on “The Howard Stern Show” on Monday and was asked to name all of his kids on the spot. He happened to forget to mention his daughter, Onyx, whom he shares with Lanisha Cole, to which he responded, saying, “Ah, no! You know, I did. You threw me off because I was going in order!”
Well, Cole has since taken to her Instagram Story on Thursday to respond to the clip which has gotten a lot of attention online. In a lengthy message to her followers, she wrote, “It’s not normal to have your life play out in front of an audience but this is the age we live in.”
She continued by writing, “There’s going to be blind curves, peaks, valleys, and sometimes we make wrong turns or run into dead ends. Simply correct course and get back on your forward moving path.” Cole ended her message by urging all moms to take care of their hearts with the same love they have for their babies accompanied by three love hearts.
Cannon, on the other hand, hasn’t publicly commented on the video of him forgetting Onyx’s name, and quite frankly, socialites, does he need to say anything at this point?
When a parent forgets their child’s name in public, it can be humiliating and embarrassing for both the parent and the child.
In Cannon’s case, his slip-up was broadcast to millions of people, which clearly brought unwanted attention to his family and may have caused his baby mama to feel embarrassed and hurt regardless of how sweet her response was.
