Following their split in 2022 amid allegations of infidelity, Nia Long and the NBA coach reached an agreement in court on Monday. According to documents obtained by TMZ, Nia will be the recipient of monthly child support. Although the court suggested she could be entitled to up to $56,000, the final settlement landed at $32,500 per month, as agreed upon by both parents.

During the proceedings, the court examined the financials of both parties. It was determined that Ime, currently coaching the Houston Rockets, earns significantly more than Nia. With a net monthly disposable income of over $400,000, Ime’s financial situation outweighed Nia’s, who has approximately $20,000.

In terms of custody, they will continue to share joint legal custody. Still, Nia will have sole physical custody of their child, with Ime having reasonable visitation as per scheduling permits. Given Ime’s constant travel with the team, this arrangement was deemed more suitable for everyone involved. All other aspects regarding their child, Kez, have been somewhat divided.

It is worth noting that Nia had previously filed for a similar arrangement in August, and earlier this month, she and Ime reached a settlement with these exact terms. With the court’s approval and the judgment officially entered, Nia has secured her desired outcome. At first glance, both parties are satisfied with the resolution, ultimately the desired outcome in any custody dispute.

Nia Long and her former fiancé, Ime Udoka, were once considered a Hollywood power couple, navigating their careers and family life together for over a decade. They began dating in 2010 and got engaged in 2015, sharing a son. However, their relationship ended abruptly in 2022 amidst controversy surrounding Udoka’s suspension from the Boston Celtics for violating team policies related to an alleged consensual but inappropriate workplace relationship. Long publicly addressed the breakup, calling it a “wake-up call” and prioritizing her well-being and that of their son. Despite the circumstances of their split, they remain co-parents.
