New Jersey Woman’s Leg Fractured After Telling Staples Customer To Put On Mask

A 54-year-old New Jersey woman’s leg was left fractured after she told a fellow Staples customer to put her mask on correctly as they operated machines next to each other.

The incident occurred in Hackensack on Wednesday after the victim, Margot Kagan politely asked a younger woman to pull her mask off of her chin to cover her nose and mouth. After a yelling match, footage from the store shows the woman aggressively yanking on Kagan’s cane and throwing her to the ground, which left her in the hospital with a fracture tibia, set to receive a steel plate surgically put into her knee.

Additionally, Kagan reveals she was using the cane on account of having a recent liver transplant. After the assault, the younger woman left the store. Local Hackensack police have since obtained the footage and are in the process of locating the woman.
