New Details: Tristan Thompson Reportedly Told Maralee Nichols He Was ‘Engaged’ To Khloe Kardashian In Paternity Legal Battle
Tristan Thompson is back in the headlines over his paternity drama. Court documents obtained by @usweekly details how Tristan allegedly told Maralee Nichols that he was engaged to Khloe Kardashian at the time of his cheating.
Us Weekly exclusively reports that Nichols, the mother of Tristan’s third child, submitted court documents on March 4 that included alleged Snapchat messages between the two. The messages are reportedly from April 2021 and show the 30-year-old athlete and Maralee, 31, discussing her pregnancy.
“You literally just told me you are engaged and are trying to be with your family… I didn’t even know you were engaged,” Maralee reportedly wrote in one message, according to the news site. “You have a record of treating me like absolutely crap and this whole situation has been upsetting.” Tristan reportedly responded a few days later saying: “I’m engaged but I will be married soon. I told you I won’t and can’t be in the child life at all by no means. Why not wait till yoj [sic] find the right person to have a family with. Why would you want a baby with a man that’s engaged. You wanna keep a mistake.” What’s even more shocking is that Maralee’s court docs also reportedly show that Tristan [allegedly] spent $2 million on an engagement ring for Khloe. The basketball star allegedly informed Maralee about his future plans with Khloe back in May 2021: “Just a heads up me and my fiancè [sic] gonna announce publicly about out [sic] marriage,” Tristan reportedly wrote in the Snapchat messages. Khloe, for her part, has been pretty quiet about Thompson’s situation after it was confirmed he is the father of Maralee’s son. Meanwhile, the basketball star has not yet spoken out to deny or clarify these new claims.
“Just a heads up. We probably moving out the country in September and live either in Europe or Caribbean. Better living for us and our family away from the bs of America,” Tristan reportedly wrote in the Snapchat messages.
Khloe, for her part, has been pretty quiet about Thompson’s situation and the basketball star has not yet spoke out to deny or clarify these new claims.

Before Nichols gave birth, she sued Thompson for child support, alleging that their hookup took place in March 2021. He eventually confirmed his paternity and issued a public apology to Kardashian. Nichols later claimed that Thompson “has done nothing to support” her and their son, Theo.
As for Khloe, it appears she’s taking things day-by-day. In a new interview with Variety, she said the paternity drama will be talked about on their new show that’s coming to Hulu.
