New Autopsy Report Reveals Ahmaud Arbery Was Shot Twice In Chest
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation has released autopsy results in the murder of Ahmaud Arbery that reveal he was shot three times, twice in the chest.
The Glynn County coroner’s office took the autopsy on Feb. 24, one day after Arbery was killed by Travis & Gregory McMichael. Per CNN, the report stated that Arbery suffered two close range shots to hid chest: one in the upper left chest and a second in the lower chest by his lungs. The third bullet scraped his wrist.
“This 25-year-old died of multiple gunshots wounds sustained during a struggle for the shotgun,” the report read.

Georgia Attorney General Chris Carr has released the report to multiple agencies to further investigate the mishandling of the case. Carr also revealed that he was requesting the GBI to investigate Brunswick District Attorney Jackie Johnson and Waycross District Attorney George Barnhill.
“When a district attorney is unable to take on a case due to a conflict, our office must appoint another prosecutor to handle the case,” Carr said in a statement. “Unfortunately, many questions and concerns have arisen regarding, among other things, the communications between and actions taken by the District Attorneys of the Brunswick and Waycross Circuits. As a result, we have requested the GBI to review in order to determine whether the process was undermined in any way.”
