Nevada Mother Arrested After Attacking School Bus Driver Because He Dropped Her Kids Off An Hour Late

Elizabeth Tanner, 37, was taken into custody after an altercation occurred on August 17 when she, and a few other parents, jumped on a school bus and attempted to attack the driver because he dropped their kids off an hour late.

According to the Las Vegas Journal, the bus driver, was late because he had to pull over multiple times to control the kids on the bus, according to the report. Linan told local police that the kids were acting extremely out of control that day. 

Linan said the children were jumping over seats, putting tape over the security camera, pulling the emergency window, and in one incident, a girl grabbed the steering wheel and said she was going to drive. Now in a new video obtained by News3 you can see after Linan dropped Tanner’s child off, she and two other parents hopped on the bus and struck Linan four times in the face. 

Tanner was charged with battery on a protected person, child abuse, neglect, destruction of property of another, interfering with a student from attending school, and burglary of a motor vehicle, according to News 3 NBC.

In a statement to the Las Vegas Journal, the district said the “school bus is an extension of the classroom.”

“Students are expected to follow the CCSD Pre-Kindergarten – 12 Student Code of Conduct while on the school bus. Any violations of the code of conduct can be reported to school administration for further action,” the statement said.
