Netflix Reportedly Paid Coodie And Chike $30 Million For The Kanye West Footage

Okay, looks like Coodie and Chike got a huge bag for the footage for Kanye West’s documentary. The two are the main directors behind his jeen-yuhs documentary. So it’s no surprise that their fortune is seriously on the rise since its popular Netflix release.

After his docuseries was released the creativity and filmmaking behind the camera was truly recognized: and it all came down to two people, Coodie and Chike.

Coodie Simmons whose real name is Clarence Simmons Jr and Chike Ozah are creatives, who helped on the jeen-yuhs documentary. Coodie is hardly seen on the Netflix documentary, but his skills are exhibited throughout the entire series. 

in the beginning of the documentary the principal cinematographer and narrator, Chicago-born Coodie explained how he once worked in the comedy business before attaining a job on a local hip hop station where Kanye‘s name kept arising.

After locking in an interview with the rapper, he ended up following Ye’s career across the USA. New Orleans resident Chike, on the other hand, was helping in design motion graphics for MTV when he linked up Coodie for the first time.

Chike had been studying video skill in Savannah College of Art and Design, and progressed to New York where he obtained the MTV job. Coodie had recently moved to the city that never sleeps after feeling the need to capture Kanye’s success.
