Netflix Renews ‘Bridgerton’ For Seasons 3 & 4 After Rege-Jean Page’s Early Exit
Back in January, Netflix announced that it will be renewing its hit series “Bridgerton” for a second season. As millions of fans were gearing up to see the entire cast return, it was recently announced that the show’s breakout star Rege-Jean Page will not be returning to his role.

Despite that, it looks like the show must still go on. In addition to a second season, the streaming service ordered another two seasons of the show.
The show’s extension was revealed in a “special announcement” from Lady Whistledown, the series’ narrator.
“It seems we have a rather special announcement. Bridgerton shall return for seasons three and four,” the release said. “This author shall have to purchase more ink…,” USA Today quotes.
The news of the duke’s departure doesn’t come as a surprise to fans of the Julia Quinn novels on which the series is based, as the character’s storyline largely plays out in the first book.
