Netflix Acquires Rights To Seven Classic Black Sitcoms Including Moesha, Sister Sister, The Parkers & More!

Netflix is stepping things up! The streaming service already has great black content on their platform but it looks like they’ve just decided to add more!

This Wednesday, Netflix announced that it has acquired seven iconic Black sitcoms from the ’90s and 2000s and will be hitting Netflix throughout August, September, and October. The shows include, Moesha, The Game S1-3, Sister Sister, Girlfriends, The Parkers, Half & Half, and One on One.

While Netflix shared the dates of each release, the streaming giant also posted a sweet video starring some of the great actors from the classic hit shows.

Following the news, the hashtag #OkayNetflix started trending on Twitter, with social media users sharing how excited they are about the new additions. One fan said: “Im so ready. Netflix has my undivided attention all Fall. I’ve been waiting for somebody to pick up these shows! 🙌🏾” Another said, “WOW. I’ve been waiting for somebody to pick up One on One for years. I will also be binge watching the Game & the Parkers for the umpteenth time.”
