NBA YoungBoy Indicted On Federal Firearms Charges Stemming From September Arrest

After we reported that NBA YoungBoy, real name Kentrell Gaulden, was arrested in Los Angeles and in FBI custody, The Advocate says the Baton Rouge, LA rapper has now been indicted on federal firearms charges, stemming from his September arrest in his hometown; where 15 others were also arrested on drug and firearm counts while making a music video.

The publication says the 21-year-old rapper was indicted on March 10, however, the indictment was unsealed late Tuesday, a day after YoungBoy was captured on a federal firearm warrant out of Baton Rouge. As for exact charges, YoungBoy was hit with possession of firearms by a convicted felon, and possession of a firearm not registered in the National Firearms Registration and Transfer Record.

Allegedly, back on September 28, the rapper possessed a .45-caliber pistol and a 9mm pistol — in total 14 guns were confiscated, along with drugs, and $79,000. Of the other 15 people arrested was Morrow D. Battie, 22. He is being charged in the indictment with the same crimes as YoungBoy. Federal prosecutors are seeking the forfeiture of the weapons if convictions are handed down.
