NBA Records No New COVID-19 Cases Out Of 344 Players

The NBA is paving the way for sports when it comes to keeping its teammates safe and COVID free.

The league reported zero positive COVID-19 cases after following their latest round of testing. 344 players were tested this time and not a single one came back positive. All players are currently in a bubble at Walt Disney World. Those players who tested positive in their homes are required to return two consecutive negative tests at least 24 hours apart before being given clearance to travel to Disney World.

NBA Commissioner Adam Silver said he is confident in the way things are going,

“Obviously, we’re seeing what’s happening in baseball with the Marlins, so it’s something we continue to track very closely,” Silver said. “Having said that, we have confidence in the protocol that we designed. …

“Jokingly, and it may not be so funny, we say, ‘The safest place in the world might be on this campus at Disney right now.’ ”
