NBA Player Malik Beasley Pleads Guilty To Felony Charge After Threatening A Family With A Rifle
Aside from being spotted with Larsa Pippen, NBA player Malik Beasley is back in the headlines as he pleads guilty to a felony charge, this after threatening a suburban Minneapolis family with a rifle back in November.
On Monday (Dec. 21), the Minnesota Timberwolves guard entered a guilty plea for a felony count of threats of violence and is now facing 120 days in a workhouse. As part of Beasley’s plea deal, prosecutors agreed to drop a felony fifth-degree drug possession charge.
The incident occurred after a house-hunting couple and their 13-year-old child arrived to Beasley’s home, rented by the baller and his wife, Montana Yao. Despite being roped off, they proceed, leading to Beasley to tap on the window of the family’s SUV and point a rifle at them, telling them to get off of his property. Upon police arrival, they retrieved a 12-gauge shotgun, a handgun, and an automatic rifle, matching the victims’ description. Police also found leafy marijuana in the home, a form that is illegal in Minnesota.
Meanwhile, Beasley’s wife, Yao, was charged with fifth-degree drug possession, with a next court appearance on December 29.
