Naomi Osaka’s New Barbie Doll Sells Out First Day!

It was only a matter of time for the outstanding four-time tennis champion, Naomi Osaka to be honored as part of the brand’s Barbie Role Models doll line used to showcase inspiring women all across the world.

Osaka made a tweet on Monday to announce her collaboration “I hope every child is reminded that they can be and do anything,”

The doll was designed just like Naomi and features her wearing a Nike tennis dress, Nike shoes, visor and a Yonex tennis racket. As of yesterday the doll was sold out “Due to high demand”

Osaka has had both a national and global impact. She has been heavily involved in the Black Lives Matter movement and always showcasing her Japanese roots and will be representing Japan at the Tokyo Olympic Games reported by CNN.

One thing about Osaka she is also a big advocate for mental health. While taking that stand she withdrew herself from the French Open also calling for the sport to better accommodate its athletes. According to her, taking a stand for her mental health was “all worth it.”
