House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has given Vice President Pence an ultimatum to invoke the 25th amendment to remove President Trump within 24 hours.

Pelosi is giving Pence a tight deadline to sign off on the 25th Amendment or else she and other members of Congress will move forward to impeach President Trump. A letter was sent to Democratic senators stating the deadline and she claims on Monday that Majority Leader Steny Hoyer will ask for unanimous consent to make Pence and other cabinet members sign off on the 25th Amendment.
“I want to call to your immediate attention the action to be taken tomorrow morning when Majority Leader Hoyer will request unanimous consent to bring up the Raskin resolution. The resolution calls on the Vice President to convene and mobilize the Cabinet to activate the 25th Amendment to declare the President incapable of executing the duties of his office, after which the Vice President would immediately exercise powers as acting President. “

If the plan doesn’t work out, Pelosi will ask Congressional members to make a floor vote and the impeachment process will begin later this week if Pence maintains his stance.
“In protecting our Constitution and our Democracy, we will act with urgency, because this President represents an imminent threat to both.”
