Breaking: Multiple people were reportedly shot near Union Station in Kansas City, Missouri where several people gathered to celebrate with a parade and rally for the Chiefs’ Super Bowl win.
According to ABC News, two armed people have been detained are the incident. In a statement Kansas City police announced that they are working to release everyone from inside Union station.

“We need people to exit the area as quickly and safely as possible and avoid the parking garage in order to facilitate treatment of shooting victims,” police said. “Many of you have footage of many officers securing union station, they are working to provide for the safety of everyone inside union station and expedite care of those injured.”
Law enforcement sources have recently confirmed that one person has died and at least eight people were injured.

Patients were transported to University Health, St. Luke’s and Children’s Mercy Hospital, officials said. St. Luke’s confirmed it has one critical patient and one non-life threatening patient. Children’s Mercy and University Health have not confirmed how many patients they’ve received.
