Charlie’s mother told TMZ that he died unexpectedly as he wasn’t sick. Law enforcement sources also told the outlet that they discovered Balducci unresponsive in his bed Saturday night. The New York City Medical Examiner’s Office explained to Page Six that his cause of death is still pending.

MTV viewers are probably familiar with Charlie who famously appeared on “True Life: I’m Getting Married” in 2001 with his wife Sabrina Balducci. The moment when Charlie went off on the limo driver who arrived late on his wedding day is what stuck with most people and made the episode memorable. “I will gut you like the f–king piece of s–t you are,” he said in the now infamous clip that has received thousands of views on YouTube. “I’ll hunt you down like f–king cattle.” Although Charlie arrived at his wedding two hours late, he managed to get it together to marry his wife. Charlie and Sabrina were married for over a decade and had two children together.

Aside from his experience in reality TV, Charlie went on to serve as the president and founder of NycArtsCypher a non-profit organization that promotes positive values through arts and entertainment.

Charlie Balducci was just 44-years-old.
