#Socialites, get a load of this! As the Donald Trump administration finalized construction on a UFC fighting cage on the White House South Lawn, more history has been made as Nitro Circus motocross athletes jump dirt bikes across the same lawn.
As we previously shared, construction for the red, white, and blue fighting octagon began in late May. The construction on the temporary cage began as the White House prepares to host several UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) events, and more, in celebration of the United States of America’s 250th anniversary.
In April, Trump told reporters that the MMA ring would have enough space to hold 4,500 fans. He added that the Ellipse — a public park located directly south of the White House — would host a UFC Freedom 250 Fan Fest, where another 50,000 to 100,000 people can watch the fights on “massive screens” for free.
While speaking on the UFC 250th event, Trump — who is close with UFC President and CEO Dana White — said, “I’ve been involved in a lot of big events; I have never had an event that has had more interest than the UFC fight we have right at the front door.”

Now, the “UFC Freedom 250” event takes place on Flag Day, (Sunday, June 14). The day also happens to be President Trump’s 80th birthday. A day before the event, the White House opened its south lawn to a few motocross legends who made history once more.
On Saturday (June 13), Jeremy McGrath (the King of Supercross) joined Jeremy “Twitch” Stenberg, Brian Deegan, Keith Sayers, Ricky Carmichael, and Travis Pastrana — who performed a BMX backflip over the White House south lawn.
All six American motorcrossers made history as they jumped their dirt bikes across the White House lawn — something they, nor anyone else, has ever done. However, they have all been inside the White House before.
