Yasmyn Switzer,20, shared her birth story in a video clip where she explained how her doctors told her to be quiet during the delivery so ‘the doctor could hear.’ The mother of three said she was very quiet and non-confrontational during her labor despite her doctor making the shocking remark.

“My water broke, I thought it broke about 10 minutes before, so I was in the active pushing part for about 10 minutes. The doctor came in right after my water broke then as I’m pushing I am not like screaming or really being that loud but kind of moaning along with when I’m pushing my daughter out and I’m listening to my body. In the middle of my contractions as I’m pushing her out and making noise the doctor goes ‘I’m going to need you to be quiet so I can hear.”

@yasmynswitzer Reply to @hannahcaric0 I think I’m done having kids but if I were to have more I’d love to try a home birth with a midwife and doula that I choose and trust. #ScreamItOut #birthstory #pregnant #laboranddelivery #labortrauma #naturalbirth ♬ original sound – Yasmyn Switzer

She said this is not the first time her doctor has made a rude comment as she has a history of poor bedside manner.

“It was so rude, I’ve been with this doctor a lot through my pregnancies and she’s always not had the best bedside manners. I blacked out for a minute after that… I was pretty mad about the whole experience.”

Although her daughter was delivered safely, Switzer was still upset about her experience and her followers gave her different types of advice as reported by the Mirror. Switzer added that she is open to the idea of a home birth if she decides to have more children in the future. “I think I’m done having kids but if I were to have more I’d love to try a home birth with a midwife and doula that I choose and trust,” she wrote in the caption of the video.

Her followers also gave her advice on what to do in relation to the story and even suggested filing a complaint against” the doctor.

“Make a complaint… they are supposed to tell you what they are doing before ever touching you and they are supposed to ask permission to have someone.

If that was a new nurse or a student they usually ask if they can practice on you… I mean everyone needs to learn but Being comfortable is top priority

When I was in active labor, they had to use forceps and I grabbed for the nurses hand, and she jumped back and said don’t grab at me! It devastated me

Since the video’s upload, it has earned 200,000 views and Switzer gained over 580,000 followers.
