“Eloise always put her children first,” said Christena Chairs, her sister. “Eloise was shot in front of her children, blood covering them all.”
Apparently, around 7:15pm on Sunday, Chairs got into a heated verbal dispute with another mother at Chuck E. Cheese after her son’s game card was stolen by another child. The other mother’s friend then reportedly brandished a gun and shot Eloise in the shoulder. Her family reports that the bullet hit a major artery and she bled out.
Another one of her sisters, Joy, spoke about the loss.
“She always wanted to help, even when she needed help of her own. She loved children, especially her own nieces and nephews,” she said.
The mother of five was rushed to Genesis Medical Center East, where she later died.
