Following the attack on a music festival in Israel by Hamas, a shocking video made its rounds online of a young woman being paraded around on a pickup truck, with little clothing. Many TikTok and X users commented that the young woman seemed lifeless, but it is believed she was unconscious and still alive at the time.

The family of German tattoo artist Shani Louk is desperately holding onto hope that she is still alive and will be returned. Louk was forcibly taken from a peace music festival near the Gaza border by Hamas militants following the attack on Israel on Saturday morning.

The video released by Hamas is difficult to watch as it depicts Louk’s terrifying ordeal as she is paraded through the streets while stripped of her clothing, positioned in the back of a pickup truck while numerous armed Hamas militants can be heard shouting “Allah Akbar” from the truck’s open rear. One of the Hamas can be seen with his leg over Louk’s waist, while another grabbed hold of her dreadlocks. Others in the crowd could be seen spitting on her body.

According to the Washington Post, Louk’s face is not visible in the horrific video but her family was able to identify her by her dreadlocks and unique tattoos.

German newspaper Bild, shared a video of Shani’s mother Ricarda Louk pleading for her daughter’s return, “This morning my daughter, Shani Nicole Louk, a German citizen, was kidnapped with a group of tourists in southern Israel by Palestinian Hamas.”

“We were sent a video in which I could clearly see our daughter unconscious in the car with the Palestinians and them driving around the Gaza Strip. I ask you to send us any help or any news. Thank you very much.”

Louk’s first cousin, Tomasina Weintraub Louk also spoke to multiple media outlets about the horror they were going through. Louk like many others was kidnapped while attending a peace festival amidst the ongoing fight between Israel and Palestine. Many of those kidnapped are believed to be dead.

“We have heard nothing. We are hoping for positive news,” Louk said to the MailOnline. “It is definitely Shani. She was at a music festival for peace. This is a nightmare for our family.”

As we reported on Saturday, the Palestinian Islamist group Hamas initiated its most severe assault on Israel in years, launching rockets from Gaza while its fighters crossed into Israeli territory kidnapping innocent civilians. In response, Israel conducted airstrikes on Gaza, which is under Hamas control, officially declaring a state of war.
