The mother of 7-year-old Milwaukee boy Jamal White has been arrested with “charges pending” just days after her son was abducted at gunpoint and rescued 24 hours later. The boy’s father, Jamal White Sr. is also explaining why he left his son during his abduction.

As we previously shared, Jamal White was abducted on July 11. Doorbell camera footage from the neighborhood where the boy had been last since was shared with police and went viral as they issued a nationwide Amber Alert for the child.
The horrific video showed a child, matching the police description of Jamal White, riding a bicycle in the street. The footage also showed a white SUV, matching the police description of the suspects’ vehicle. In the video, the child rode his bicycle as his father, Jamal White Sr. drove alongside him. As the boy’s father pulled into the driveway of their home, the white SUV turn around to block the car in.
Two masked men exit the Jeep at the same time. One man, the driver who appeared to be holding a gun, chased the boy’s father, who ran into the house. The second man, who was in the passenger seat, went after the child, who ran up the driveway. Seconds later, the first man ran back into the frame and hopped back in the SUV. The second man entered the frame next, running back to the Jeep with the boy in his arms. He then put him into the car before fleeing the scene.
Five hours later, police issued a nationwide Amber Alert. Within 24 hours, police recovered the boy in a home near North 39th and West Lloyd streets around 6 p.m., seven miles away from where he was abducted. He currently remains with Child Protective Services. His family hopes to reunite with him soon.

After footage of him running into his home as his son got abducted at gunpoint, Jamal White’s father is explaining his actions. While taking to Facebook, he said:
“Hell yeah I ran. I’m thinking they tryna rob me, not take my damn baby. Y’all slow. We both alive [and] my baby tried to get away like I taught ’em. God had us the whole time. Obviously, I did right. My baby safe!”
He later added:
“First I set it up, then my brother kidnapped my son, now I’m wrong for leaving my son? I know [I] f**ked up. Y’all ain’t gotta tell me. My son good though. Y’all wanted to paint every picture of me to be the bad guy. I can’t win with y’all. But I won with my kid. Remember this the internet.”

We also previously shared that the boy’s uncle, Jamal Sr.’s brother, Jamel White, 27, was arrested for firing several shots at a slow-moving car a day after the boy was abducted. He is charged with two counts of recklessly endangering safety and use of a dangerous weapon. His bond is set at $20,000 cash.
According to a criminal complaint obtained by WISN 12 News, Jamel White told police he shot at the car because “he was scared for his family and he hid the gun behind the house in a wooded area.” Investigators say a father and son were in the car, but were not hit. The duo claim they were trying to help in the search for the missing Milwaukee boy.
According to reports a man named Corey Williams, 25, was arrested in connection to the Milwaukee boy’s abduction. Additional reports state two other men, both 27, were arrested as well. Now, we’re learning that on Tuesday (July 15), Jamal White’s mother, Shavon Williams, was arrested, with “charges pending.” She was given a $10,000 bond.
