Mossimo Giannulli Moved To COVID-19 Protective Custody 1 Month After Reporting To Prison
Just one month after reporting to prison for his role in the college admissions scandal, Mossimo Giannulli, fashion designer and husband of ‘Fuller House‘ actress Lori Loughlin, 56, is now being held in COVID-19 protective custody.
Along with his wife, the 57-year-old designer is currently serving time in prison for their involvement in the scandal, a five-month sentence to be exact. A legal source close to the couple tells PEOPLE that Giannulli is “being kept apart from other prisoners as a precaution amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.”

Meanwhile, on Friday (Dec. 18), Giannulli’s son, Gianni, took to his social media, claiming his father “has been locked in solitary confinement for one full month and has been “only let out every3 days for a few moments to shower.” Opposing this claims, the legal source says the solitary confinement is a punitive status and that Giannulli is being separated from other inmates to avoid contracting COVID-19; this as it’s been reported that the facility has had hundreds of cases reported through the summer.
As we previously reported, Giannulli was booked into federal prison, in Lompoc, near Santa Barbara, California on November 19; this after he plead guilty on May 22 to one count of conspiracy to commit wire and mail fraud, and one count of honest services wire and mail fraud. Meanwhile, his wife, Loughlin, admitted to one count of conspiracy to commit wire and mail fraud.
