Mo’Nique & Lee Daniels End ‘Precious’ Feud & Will Work Together For Netflix Thriller ‘Demon House’

Do we need to go ahead and thank 50 Cent?! According to DeadlineMo’Nique and Lee Daniels have ended their ‘Precious‘ feud and will work together on the Netflix thriller ‘Demon House.’ After icing each other for 13 years, the Oscar-winning star and Oscar-winning producer are letting the dust settle, and Mo is doing the same with Netflix!

It’s known that Mo and Lee have been on the outs since their 2009 film ‘Precious‘ hit theaters. Mo claims Lee, along with Oprah Winfrey and Tyler Perry “blackballed” her for her lack of participation in award-season promotion for the film — something she says was not in her contract nor did she have time for, considering her family obligations. For 13 years, Lee, Winfrey and Perry have denied blackballing her, but we also never saw Mo in any other major TV/Film projects since.

In addition to her beef with the aforementioned three, Mo separately filed a lawsuit in 2019 against Netflix, accusing them of racial and gender discrimination as they allegedly tried to underpay her for a stand-up special. Now, Mo is patching things up with Lee and Netflix as she’s set to replace Octavia Spencer in ‘Demon House,’ an exorcism film package. It’s reported that Spencer has a conflicting schedule with her Apple TV+ TV show ‘Truth Be Told.’ #Socialites, are you here for this?
