A mother is facing backlash on TikTok after she waxes her 10-year-old daughter’s mustache and unibrow because she was bullied at school over it.

In the video, Ashlee Pease documents the moment when she applies the wax in the middle of her daughter Giselle’s eyebrows. She explained that the 10-year-old was being bullied by her classmates for having a mustache and unibrow, leading her to make the decision although Pease thought it was unnecessary. Giselle apparently asked for the wax and Pease bought an at home kit to help her out.

‘Okay guys, so we’re about to wax the middle of Giselle’s eyebrows,’ She said people in school are teasing her about her mustache [too], which she doesn’t even have a mustache,” Pease explained. After the video was uploaded on TikTok, Pease faced backlash for allegedly using the moment for views and not respecting her daughter’s privacy.

One user wrote, “ppl already bully her + you filming her experience like wtf give girl some privacy.” However, another user said their mother did something similar when she was buillied as kid over her facial hair, “I was that child. My mom used to let me wax and tweeze around that age. I was teased so bad.” Others said Pease should’ve taught her daughter to be more confident about her looks.

Pease responds to the comments and says her daughter told her to post the videos despite the criticism
In a follow up video, the mother of five explained the caption that her daughter wanted the videos to be posted because her friends from school enjoys the content. She writes,”GISELLE wants the videos posted. GISELLE asks to do these videos. Eveyone in her school watches her and thinks shes COOL the bully is the same the boy that asked her for her phone nunber and she told him no.”

However, commentators attempted to tell Pease that bullying happens in all schools and that the boy who teased Giselle over her looks will make fun of her again in the future.
