OnlyFans model Gabriella Zuniga, ~22, has announced her retirement from the platform after quietly settling her $50 million lawsuit against retired NFL star Shannon Sharpe, 57.
As we previously shared, in April, the NFL player-turned-podcaster Shannon Sharpe was accused of assault, sexual assault, battery, and intentional infliction of emotional distress in a $50 million civil lawsuit. Days after the news broke, the Hall of Famer broke his silence on the sexual assault claims filed by Jane Doe, whom he named as OF model Gabriella Zuniga, aka “Gabbi” or “Karli.”
Sharpe and his attorney, Lanny J. Davis, made it clear that the lawsuit was nothing more than a “blatant and cynical attempt to shake down Mr. Sharpe for millions.” Doe’s attorney, Houston, Texas lawyer Tony Buzbee — who’s brought similar claims against JAY-Z and Diddy — pushed back on Sharpe and Davis’ comments and began dropping alleged audio of him saying he wanted to “choke” her.
Following the initial legal melee, Shanon Sharpe announced he was “temporarily” stepping down form his role at ESPN. He promised to turn when the NFL preseason begins — which is soon.
Shannon Sharpe Settles $50 Million Sexual Assault Lawsuit Filed By Jane Doe
Since then, Shannon Sharpe and his sexual assault accuser have settled the $50 million sexual assault lawsuit on undisclosed terms. Before settling, Sharpe’s lawyer said he offered at least $10 million to settle the lawsuit before it was filed in April 2025. Now, Sharpe will be paying an amount likely exceeding that. Meanwhile, on Friday (July 18), his accuser’s attorney, Tony Buzbee, announced:
“On April 20, 2025, The Buzbee Law Firm filed a complaint in Nevada making several allegations against Shannon Sharpe on behalf of our client. Both sides acknowledge a long-term consensual and tumultuous relationship. After protracted and respectful negotiations, I’m pleased to announce that we have reached a mutually agreed upon resolution. All matters have now been addressed satisfactorily, and the matter is closed. The lawsuit will thus be dismissed with prejudice.”
A spokesperson for the famed tight end confirmed the details of Buzbee’s statement and said the three-time Super Bowl winner would not be commenting further on the matter. The terms of the settlement remain undisclosed.
