In a new interview, reality TV personality Renee Graziano gets super real about a near-death experience following an accidental overdose of fentanyl.

The Mob Wives star, aged 55, opened up about the harrowing experience on Bunnie XO’s “Dumb Blonde” podcast, set to air today. In the revealing teaser that is making its rounds online, Graziano expressed what made her go down a path where there was almost no return. She explained that she was overwhelmed at the time and suffocated by the weight of her struggles, including strained relationships within her family. Graziano disclosed that her sister Jennifer Graziano had not spoken to her for over a year and a half, and her son AJ Pagan was also distant.

Amidst these personal challenges, Graziano was mourning the loss of her father, Anthony Graziano, who passed away in May 2019. The accumulation of these difficulties led her to a breaking point, culminating in the fateful overdose in September 2023, triggered by unknowingly consuming fentanyl instead of the intended substance. “I just lost, like, my s–t, man,” Renee recalled. “September 18th, someone gave me a bag of fentanyl when it was supposed to be [an undisclosed drug].” Recalling the terrifying experience, Graziano revealed that she was found unresponsive in a Florida restaurant, leading to her being intubated for three days.

The subsequent nine days in the hospital were a grueling journey of physical and emotional recovery, where she had to relearn how to walk.

“I died in a restaurant in Florida. I was dead, intubated for three days,” she explained. “No one in my family came to the hospital and I spent nine days there learning how to walk again. That was it for me.”

Despite the gravity of the situation, Graziano expressed understanding towards her family’s absence during her hospitalization, acknowledging the turmoil she had put them through. She admitted that she “put them through hell” and is understanding that they didn’t think she was going to “make it” at the time.

Following this life-altering event, she made the courageous decision to seek help and embark on a path to sobriety, enrolling in the Odom Recovery Group in November 2023.
