Missouri Couple Found Slain On Front Porch Allegedly ‘Targeted’ By Man’s Ex-Wife

A Willard, Missouri couple, who was found slain on their front porch on November 14, was allegedly “targeted” by the man’s ex-wife, Theresa Cox, whom he was in a custody battle with over their 4-year-old daughter. Cox and three other suspects have since been charged in connection with the killings of Alex Chute, 28, and his fiancee Brianna Sproul, 30.

Immediately following the shooting, Willard Police Chief Tom McClain held a press conference and told the public that detectives did not believe the couple’s deaths were a murder-suicide, he insisted, “These folks in Willard were targeted.”

Furthermore, Cox, who was arrested in San Francisco on December 8, is now facing first-degree murder, second-degree murder and armed criminal action. Meanwhile, her new partner, Duncan “Mixxi” Bogle, 20, who helped carry out the double shooting, is facing two counts of first-degree murder, armed criminal action and endangering the welfare of a child — Chute’s 4-year-old daughter who was in the bathroom of Bogle’s home when the shooting took place. Additionally, Matthew Plumb, 43, who is accused of providing Cox with an alibi and dumping the murder weapon, and Therin Plumb, who is believed to have helped dispose weapon, were also charged.
