Minnesota Doctor Pulled Over For Speeding Received N95 Masks Instead Of Ticket

A Minnesota doctor was pulled over by a state trooper for speeding, and instead of driving off with a ticket, she was given his N95 masks.

On March 21, Dr. Sarosh Ashraf Janjua, a cardiologist at a coronavirus quarantine unit at a Duluth hospital, was pulled over by State Trooper Brian Schwartz for speeding. Bypassing a ticket, Schwartz gave Janjua five N95 masks, along with a firm warning for speeding.

Janjua took to Facebook to share the emotional gesture, stating, “I burst into tears. And though it may just have been the cold wind, I think he teared up a little as well, before wishing me well and walking away. This complete stranger, who owed me nothing and is more on the front lines than I am, shared his precious masks with me, without my even asking.”

Taking to their own Facebook, the Minnesota State Patrol said, “This complete stranger, who owed me nothing and is more on the front lines than I am, shared his precious masks with me, without my even asking. Troopers are working hard during the pandemic and are thinking about all the first responders who are caring for Minnesotans during this critical time.”

Furthermore, Janjua told CNN“.I think we are all just hanging on to something that makes us feel safe. Somehow, for Americans, that something has become N95 masks and toilet paper. Trooper Schwartz’ act of kindness became my something.”
