June 2025: Over 5 Million Americans Protest Donald Trump In First Wave Of ‘No Kings’ Protests
Now, today’s coast to coast demonstrations mark the second time Americans have rallied against President Trump across all of America in nationwide “No Kings” protests.
The first set of “No Kings” protests took place in June 2025. At the time, Americans called out Trump and the nationwide Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) raids. In response, Americans hosted nationwide rallies, which massively outperformed Trump’s 250th Anniversary military parade in Washington, D.C.
The latter event took place on his 79th birthday and he boasted that it would bring out more Americans than the rallies against him. Following the protests, reports surfaced stating that over 5 million protesters in over 2,100 rallies across 50 states took to the streets to targeting Trump. Meanwhile, at Trump’s, self-proclaimed “Birthday Parade,” there was an expected 200,000 crowd, but those were beginning numbers of Americans showing out in the anti-Trump protests.
At the time, the protests had marked as the largest nationwide anti-Trump demonstrations since he returned to the White House in January. There was also an additional 300 “Kick Out the Clowns” rallies that reportedly took place as well.

October 2025: Second Wave Of ‘No Kings’ Protests Against Donald Trump Take Place Nationwide
Now, during the October protests, Americans took to the streets of Chicago, Los Angeles New York City, Portland, San Francisco, Boston, Washington, D.C., Atlanta, and several more cities across all 50 states of America. In San Fran, protesters spelled out “No Kings” and “Yes on 50” in the sand. While protesting against Trump, they were also pushing for Proposition 50.
Prop 50 is a controversial ballot measure for 2026. It looks to redraw California’s congressional map in a way critics say is designed to give Democrats even greater control over the state’s delegation. According to CBS News, supporters at the demonstration argued the measure is about “strengthening democracy.” However, those who oppose the measure view it as another partisan power grab in a state already dominated by one party.
Meanwhile, ahead of the protests, Republicans argued that this second wave of mass “No Kings” protests is simply an effort to distract from the current government shutdown battle and to appease the Democrats’ base.
