Mike Tyson Reveals His Daughter Pushed Him To Confront Boosie Over Homophobic Comments
Mike Tyson broke the internet earlier this week after confronting Boosie Badazz over his history of homophobic comments, while questioning his sexuality.
Mike Tyson Confronts Lil Boosie Over His Sexuality After Zaya Wade Comments
Boosie joined Tyson on his show, ‘Hotboxin’ With Mike Tyson,’ where the boxing legend asked, “Why do you say things about people who might be a homosexual? Why do you say that about them? Do you feel there’s a possibility that you’re a homosexual and by disrespecting them it furthers yourself from being a homosexual? I’m thinking you may like homosexuals.”
Boosie responded by saying he’s “as straight as an arrow.” Tyson retorted, “If you’re straight then why do you offend people?” Boosie responded, “I really commented on the Dwyane Wade situation because I got offended because it’s a child. That’s really why I got offended.”
Tyson spoke to TMZ Live about the explosive interview and revealed that it was his daughter who pushed him to do it.
“My daughter,” Tyson said … “She flew all the way from New York City to Los Angeles, California where I’m at just to be there because she thought Boosie was so disrespectful she had to confront him.”
Mike said his daughter told him that Boosie’s remarks have been “disrespectful to the community”
“But, he conducted himself like a gentleman,” Tyson added. “It went okay. It didn’t go like I anticipated it to go. My daughter has a lot of courage and stuff.”
Tyson is hoping that the rapper can grow from their talk and “win the fight over those demons.”
