A Michigan woman said she’s mortified after eating a Subway sandwich that contained feces.

TikToker @Kelscoyne said she purchased a sandwich from a Subway sandwich earlier this week in West Lansing. In the video, she explained that the sandwich smelled like sewage after she took a small bite. Once she came home, she ate the sandwich again and spat it back out.

“I smelled the same exact sh*t and looked in the papers. I looked between the two papers in between the wrappers on the sandwich, and its sh*t, feces. I’m not sure if it’s a dog or a human, but the police took a swab of it. Public health is working on trying to figure it out.”

The young woman continued to say that she filed an online complaint with Subway and called their corporate office five times. The company told her that she had to wait for someone to respond to her complaint. Since the incident, Kels has been disgusted by the thought of eating as the idea of consuming feces causes her to feel nauseous.

She explained to a commentator that she initially assumed the food was burnt, but then the red sauce in her food turned brown; and also went to the doctor after feeling the nausea symptoms.
“I’m hoping my bite was far enough away, and yes I went to the doctors the day after, they gave me anti-nausea medicine and told me to come back if I had any food poisoning-like symptoms.”

Since Subway has franchise restaurants, it is not their issue per se, but Kels said a store manager was supposed to contact her regarding the incident. So far, the video has over 770,000 views, and her follow-up videos have more than 200,000 views.
Other TikTok users suggested that she take further action against subway since she could’ve gotten very sick from eating the alleged contaminated sandwich.

Subway has yet to release a statement regarding the incident but it is still under investigation.
