Michigan Man Uses $900 Savings To Buy Gas For Dozens Of Nurses
While he’d been saving up for something else, a Detroit, Michigan man used his $900 savings to buy gas for dozens of nurses this week.
The man, identified as Allen Marshall, stood outside an Exxon station near the Detroit Medical Center on Wednesday and Thursday, holding up a sign that read, “FREE GAS FOR NURSES.” He explained, “I just love them, and I wan them to know that.”

Once the $900 ran out, Marshall flipped his sign for it to read, “THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU DO!!!” Upon hearing about Marshall’s act of kindness, another good samaritan, identified only as Alana, came to purchase another $200 worth of gas for more nurses.
Alana said, “It just kills me every day to know that he’s going to work. I don’t know if he could get sick or what’s going to happen. They’re heroes and we need to do what we can to support them.”

Reportedly, Marshall had plans to purchase a knife-sharpening tool, but after dropping his wife off at work, who is an essential worker at Blue Cross Blue Shield, he decided to do a giveaway.
