Judge Simpson first made major headlines back in May when a man with a suspended license joined a court Zoom call while driving. The defendant, Corey Harris, was questioned by the Michigan judge and he claimed he was driving to his doctor’s office, despite being on the hook for a suspended license and in court via Zoom.

It was soon revealed that Harris never even had a driver’s license to begin with! However, after going through the court process to get his record straight, he finally went through the proper channels and steps to officially get his license and he rejoiced when he finally got his driver’s permit weeks after the viral court hearing.

Fast forward a couple of months later and Judge J. Cedric Simpson is going viral AGAIN! This time, Judge Simpson is trending along with another unruly defendant — who is now cursing him out! The 45-year-old defendant has been identified as Darrell Lester Jarrell and he was caught on camera cussing out the judge at his pre-trial hearing for trespassing on Wednesday (August 7).

During the hearing, the Michigan judge attempted to move back the man’s court date to give him more time to talk to his public defender being that he does not have email or a phone number and is only reachable by his P.O. Box. However, the man got angry with the judge for wanting to prolong the case, claiming he was “ready to leave this state as soon as possible.”

He then asked, “What’s the hold-up? It’s trespassing. I can technically leave — and you guys can issue a warrant — as long as I don’t return… kiss my a**.” Reacting to being cursed out, the Michigan judge responded, “No. No. No. You don’t come up in here…”

Interjecting, Jarrell yelled, “F**k you. F**k you.” Judge Simpson held Jarrell in contempt of court and sentenced him to 93 days in jail, but as he kept swearing at the judge, he added more time. Eventually, the man was ordered to serve 558 days in jail by the Michigan judge.
