Michael Jackson’s Nephew Files to Keep Guardianship of His Youngest Son Blanket

Prince Michael Jackson, also known as Blanket, who is the late Michael Jackson’s son will remain under the guardianship of his uncle TJ Jackson until he turns 18.

According to The Blast, TJ updated his Guardianship court documents this week. He has been Blanket’s legal guardian since 2012.

“A guardianship of the person automatically ends when the child reaches the age of 18, is adopted, marries, is emancipated by court order, enters into active military duty, or dies,” the document states.

Blanket be 18 next February.

The document notes that TJ has “full legal and physical custody” and that “the child’s parents can no longer make decisions for the child while there is a guardianship.”

The document also details TJ’s responsibilities  and how he must look after Blanket’s education, housing and medical treatment and even holds the guardian “liable for the harm and damages caused by the willful misconduct of a child.”
